We are residents of Castellain Road and don't have access to a communal garden, but I'd love to take my girls to one of the local displays. Which one is your garden? Can we come?? :-) Gaia p.s. by the way, we are the ones who wrote the petition to Westminster to pedestrianise Formosa Street, I saw you talk about it on your website! Hi, can we join the fireworks? Comment on Remembering Mary Dwyer Radnoti (1945-2009) by eric Pilkington http://www.formosaamenity.co.uk/2009/09/10/remembering-mary-dwyer-radnoti-1945-2009/#comment-57 eric Pilkington Wed, 30 Mar 2011 15:07:43 +0000 http://www.formosaamenity.co.uk/2009/09/10/remembering-mary-dwyer-radnoti-1945-2009/#comment-57 I worked for Total London back in the 80's (81 - 86) in a small office directly across from Mary's. She became a great friend, used to baby sit and so in turn became an ever greater friend of my wife Catherine and our two sons, David and James. It's only now in my sixties that I spend time thinking about old friends like Mary and finding the Remembrance on this site is both sad, really sad, and moving. It's well done and I'm sure equal to Mary's own high standards. The last time we met Mary and Zoltan was on the SS Great Britain in Bristol for the wedding of son David. They were happy days .......... for us, and for them ...... I worked for Total London back in the 80′s (81 – 86) in a small office directly across from Mary’s. Comment on Mediterranean Bed Design by Clare Fanning http://www.formosaamenity.co.uk/2010/10/24/mediterranean-bed-design/#comment-47 Clare Fanning Tue, 26 Oct 2010 11:06:59 +0000 http://www.formosaamenity.co.uk/?p=274#comment-47 I read the minutes regarding the proposed new Mediterranean Bed where it was stated that some of the existing plants would remain. I may be wrong but it now looks that the only plant that will remain is the Hazel tree. I am very upset if you are going to remove the Mimosa tree which is a Mediterranean tree to be found in a village named after it in Provence. It is so magnificent and it is not at the end of it's life judging by the other speciman in the large Warrington bed. I am certainly not against change but to remove beautiful mature plants unecessarily is a terrible shame. If they are dying or have been damaged by young children then so be it. But damage to new young plants is a worry and it will be years before the garden looks full and luxuriant. I look forward to somebody contacting me to explain why something so radical needs to be done, however beautiful it may look in a minimum of five years time. Many thanks Kind regards Clare Fanning Garden Flat 153 Sutherland Avenue W9 1ES I read the minutes regarding the proposed new Mediterranean Bed where it was stated that some of the existing plants would remain.

Thanks. Crispin. The RCD is incomplete – the variable rentcharge percentages are not fully listed and there is no record of the nominal rentcharge amounts.

Together with Judith I counted myself as one of her oldest and closest friends, - we met in 1973, not long after she came to England and were in constant personal contact until 1978 when I married a diplomat and began a life overseas. For the next twenty five years we corresponded two or three times a week, and, to the day she died, phoned each other regularly, - particularly on our returh from anywhere to say 'I'm back!;. The memory of Mary that appeared in the Formosa Amenity Webpage is a fine picture of Mary as she became in her more mature years. thank you from all of us who knew her well. The first swarm are now settled in their new home and the queen is laying eggs, so the colony is working now in its new hive. This second swarm was collected by the same bee keepers and more news on this second swarm will be posted when available. This is the second swarm collected from the garden in the past few weeks.
